August 7-9th, 2020

In less than a few weeks, aircraft from here will join others from around the world. And you will be launching the largest aerial battle in this history of RC mankind.

Mankind -- that word should have new meaning for all of us now.

We can't be consumed by our petty differences anymore.

We will be united in our common RC interests.

Perhaps its fate that FPV Fest is now upon us, and you will once again be fighting for our RC freedom, not from tyranny, oppression, or persecution -- but from Covid-19 annihilation.

We're fighting for our right to live, to exist.

And should we win the day, FPV Fest will no longer be known as an RC holiday, but as the day when the RC world declared in one voice:

We will not go quietly into the night!

We will not vanish without a fight!

We're going to live on!

We're going to survive! FPV FEST 2020!

RMRC FPV Fest is an incredibly fun event that is being held again at Flite Test's new golf course turned RC paradise in Minerva, Ohio. From Friday to Sunday, the entire course is shut down just for RC pilots to enjoy. Fun is the name of the game and we try to have as much of it as we can cram into 3 long days and nights. Contests, racing, and free flight are what you can expect to find here along with friends of the hobby. FPV (First person view), LOS (Line of sight), and RC cars are ALL welcome!

Updated 7/16/20 - We are STILL ON for RMRC FPV Fest and you should get signed up ASAP.

Here are some updates:

Joe Scully will not be making the trip this year due to Canadian borders being closed off to the US
Paul Adkins will be running a single Multi-GP track on the main flight line instead of 2 tracks.
The event is now starting on Friday 8/7 instead of Thursday 8/6.
Ticket prices are dropping from $60 down to $30. Saturday only ticket is $15.
- Those that have already purchased tickets will be receiving store credit soon.

Ways that RMRC is helping slow the spread of COVID-19:

Flite Test's Edgewater Airpark is a huge facility with plenty of room for proper social distancing.
To avoid crowds, the mobile RMRC store will NOT be available on site.
- We encourage the use of store pickup ahead of time and we can deliver to the event.
- For those that sign up in advance, you can use coupon code FPVFEST2020 for 10% off any order through August 10. Good only for those signed up (and once we get the coupon set up for you). Some restrictions apply.
- Make sure you add the comment "BRING TO FPV FEST" if you want us to bring the items with us to the event! Orders must be placed before Friday the 7th to be brought to the event.
THERE WILL BE NO SHOWERS THIS YEAR, Instead a hand washing station will be available on the main flight line.
Hand sanitizer will be available while supplies last.
MASKS ARE STRONGLY ENCOURAGED while near others.
- We aren't going to be the mask police, but please think of others...wear a mask when you have to be close to other people.
To avoid crowds we will not be offering special events, movie night, or food night.
The golf course restaurant will be open for takeout orders only.
Frequencies will be claimed with personal magnets and 30 minute time slots.
- Do not touch other peoples magnets.
- No Frequency cards will be given.
- Management will be based on the honor system.
