The Vortex 230 Mojo is the latest member in the Vortex family that takes all that we've learned from the Vortex 250 and the Vortex 150/180 quads and combines that into a quad that's best described as a revolutionary crossover between a racer and freestyle quad.
Sporting custom BrotherHobby 2206/2300kV motors and HQ 5x4.3x3 V1S propellers teamed up with a radically new 30A ESC design utilizing a 32bit ARM processor the drive train of the Vortex 230 Mojo leaves nothing to be desired for the seasoned freestyler. It'll offer all the low-end grunt you need and a silky smooth throttle response all the way up to the top end.
The Vortex 230 Mojo inherits all of the sexy goodness designed into the Vortex 150/180, so a Tramp transmitter is built in, and can be set to a variety of power levels and bands/channels via the OSD, either by using the NFC Wand or the Android App. All of the other settings, including PIDs etc, are configurable through the OSD at the field, making the Vortex 230 Mojo very convenient to set up and use.
It sports the same flat form-factor of the Vortex 150/180 with a top-mounted battery but uses a combination of 2mm (frame) and 4mm (arms) 3K carbon fiber with the edges chamfered all around. The Vortex 230 Mojo features titanium screws all around and a new blend of super-though plastic which helps to reduce the weight to a mere 350-grams without a battery, that's almost 100-grams lighter than the Vortex 250!
The Vortex 230 Mojo comes preloaded with a number of pro-tunes from none other than GAPiT/Travis Samson and FinalGlideAus/Chad Nowak, which means you can, provided you have the required flying skills, fly just as aggressively and juicy as they do, so big smiles and full-on bando ripping are guaranteed for the seasoned pilot!
And of course this new Vortex is built just as sturdy as the old Vortex 250, which quickly became known as 'the tank' for putting up with a ridiculous amount of abuse. The Vortex 230 Mojo was put through a strenuous test period of six months, where the world's best pilots put it through the wringer, their feedback was worked into the version we've just started stocking, so rest assured this new Vortex is just as durable as the old one.
