The E-flite Habu SS (Super Sport) 50mm EDF Jet BNF Basic is an updated, high-performance electric ducted fan sport jet engineered to provide low-time pilots a seamless transition into jet aviation, while offering experienced flyers an agile, high-speed everyday flyer. Scaled down from the larger Habu platforms, this updated variant features an improved, composite-reinforced EPO airframe that is stiffer and more robust than previous iterations, completely removing the need for cheater holes and integrating an enlarged, functional rudder for total 4-channel aerobatic control.

At its core is a factory-tuned brushless power system featuring a 12-blade 50mm fan driven by a high-power 2628-4000Kv outrunner motor. Out of the box, this highly versatile propulsion system is completely 3S and 4S LiPo compatible without requiring any modifications, accepting a wide array of common 1300–2200mAh flight cells. Managed by a Spektrum Avian 30-Amp Smart Lite ESC, the aircraft transmits real-time telemetry data—including motor RPM, current draw, and battery voltage—directly to compatible Spektrum AirWare transmitters.

The Bind-N-Fly (BNF) Basic configuration arrives pre-equipped with an upgraded Spektrum AR631+ 6-channel receiver unlocking industry-leading stabilization. Enhanced AS3X+ technology works behind the scenes to iron out the effects of wind and turbulence for a locked-in feel, while optional-use SAFE Select establishes strict pitch and bank angle limits alongside automatic self-leveling at the flip of a switch. Additionally, the receiver supports optional motor/thrust reversing to drastically shorten rollouts on landing, alongside Smart Transmitter File (STF) auto-programming for instantaneous transmitter configuration. Operators can utilize the wide-stance fixed tricycle landing gear with a steerable nose wheel for effortless ground handling on short grass or paved surfaces, or easily remove the gear entirely for streamlined hand-launching and belly landings.
