The HobbyZone AeroScout S 2 1.1m BNF Basic with SAFE is an extraordinarily durable, high-utility trainer aircraft engineered to make learning to fly RC planes easy, intuitive, and crash-resilient. Scaled for pilots who already own a Spektrum transmitter, this Bind-N-Fly (BNF) Basic package comes pre-assembled with factory-installed electronics, allowing fast transition from unboxing to flight without requiring glue or special tools.

At the core of the AeroScout S 2 is a rear-facing "pusher" propeller configuration where the motor and prop are mounted behind the main wing. This design completely shields the propulsion system from direct ground strikes, nose-first landings, and initial flight mishaps. Constructed from high-density, composite-reinforced EPO foam, the updated S 2 airframe incorporates a reinforced nose section, upgraded nose-gear support, and a metal-geared rudder and steering servo to handle heavy flight school use.

The factory-installed Spektrum AR631+ receiver features AS3X+ technology to smooth out wind and turbulence, along with SAFE Select flight envelope protection. Beginners can select between Beginner, Intermediate, and Experienced modes at the flip of a transmitter switch, or instantly level the aircraft using Panic Recovery mode. Additionally, the receiver includes Smart Transmitter File (STF) technology, automatically transferring channel assignments, rates, expo, and voice callouts directly to compatible Spektrum NX or iX series transmitters during binding.
